Meet Sharon, the ASMRtist known as “ASMR Glow” who has over 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube

If you are an ASMR video enthusiast, then it is likely that you already know all about Sharon and her YouTube channel, “ASMR Glow.”

Sharon launched her ASMR YouTube channel on Oct 24, 2016.

Now, about 7 years later, she has grown her channel to have over 1.8 million subscribers and almost 900 videos (which have received 658 million views).

I’ve watched many of her videos and I’ve also been fortunate to meet her in person.  The gentle and caring person you see in her videos is who she really is.  Being your genuine self is key to being a successful ASMRtist, and this is certainly true of Sharon.

What was Sharon’s first video on her ASMR Glow YT channel?

Her first video was titled, “ASMR Getting Ready For Bed (Lotion Sounds, Hair Brushing, Cottons, Tapping…)”  She published it on Oct 27, 2016, 3 days after she launched her channel.

Interestingly, she demonstrates early signs of someone who understands the core principles of a successful YouTuber and ASMR video artist.  Rather than beginning with a long ramble of who she is and why she started her channel, she does ‘the smart thing’ which is basically a proverb in the world of content creation: “Get to the content.”

She starts her video off by whispering about the video scenario (Getting ready for bed) and creating the sound triggers to go with the scenario (Lotion Sounds, Hair Brushing, Cottons, Tapping…).

What has been the focus of her subsequent and current videos on the ASMR Glow YouTube channel?

Early on, her primary focus seemed to be spa-related products and sounds.  These videos included hand lotion, hair brushing, face brushing, cosmetic product tapping, haircuts, scalp massages, and makeup application.

Yet, within this general theme of spa-related videos, she also branched out with other video types.  These include comfort sounds, whisper rambles, speaking in French, unboxing videos, Q&A, gaming, singing, and many well-produced roleplays (eg, clinical exams, Star Wars, kidnapping, post-apocalypse, Game of Thrones, and many more).

Today, Sharon continues to create a great diversity of the most requested and best-loved types of ASMR videos.  Her videos use high-quality gear, have top-notch production, and reflect her genuine and caring nature.

Does she have another YouTube channel?

Yes! In addition to ASMR Glow, she also has the YouTube channel Shaz.  If you are a huge Sharon/ASMR Glow fan, or want to quickly become one, then you must watch these videos.

The videos on her Shaz channel show her personal side.  In these videos, she sings, dances, cooks, shares secrets, travels, and teaches makeup tutorials.  You will also get to see her fun and silly side through her many hilarious blooper videos.
