ASMR mentioned on the Conan O’Brien Show

ASMR Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response UniversityLast month, guest Molly Shannon started a discussion with the host Conan O’Brien about ASMR.

It begins with her talking about going through airport security and then develops into avery well-done descriptive explanation of ASMR and her experiences.

But let me first answer, who is Molly Shannon?

Plenty of people already know the answer.  My wife started reading this post and said, “Wow, Molly Shannon!”.

Molly was a prior cast member of Saturday Night Live (SNL) and may be best remembered for her catholic school girl character who touched her armpits and smelled her fingers when she got nervous.

She also has starred in the films “Superstar” (a definite must-see if you want lots more of her SNL catholic school girl character), “Year of the dog”, and in the TV series “Kath and Kim”.

She has appeared in many other great TV shows including “Raising Hope”, “30 Rock”, “Pushing Daisies”, and “Seinfeld”.

This is probably one of the biggest mainstream mentions of ASMR to date, and I think she did a terrific job of explaining it.

And she was not even nervous talking about ASMR, because she didn’t even touch her armpits once.
