  1. 1. ASMR helped me to focus by dramatically drawing my attention to my trigger.
    2. ASMR helped me to focus on my trigger which were words in a language I did not understand at the time and stumbled upon by accident. I realized by coupling breath with certain chakras while triggered by these words, if I sang them as I exhaled, I could extend the ecstatic experience.
    3. Specific ASMR triggers that help me focus most effectively are songs in Yoruba for the Orishas.
    4. ASMR is the most consistent of all of the ways I tap into myself for self discovery and connection to all.
    5. I have not been diagnosed by a clinician with ADD, ADHD or other related condition?
    6. I was ignored when I attempted to speak about this with my doctor.

  2. I have recently been diagnosed with adult ADHD-I and I’ve loved asmr for some time, it’s helped me get to sleep for years but it’s only recently I’ve ventured into the “focus on this” “look over here” type asmr videos after I was diagnosed because I can practice focusing in a low stress way, which is sort of similar to the meditation activities my therapist suggests.

  3. Its different for everyone because ASMR is so personal it would be a trial and error thing. There are sounds/videos I watch to focus more and then I have different ones for sleep.

  4. I used to listen to ASMR videos for enjoyment as it gave me tingles. I then started to listen to it in bed if I was overthinking things. I now listen to it at work if I can’t concentrate as it helps me relax which in turn helps me think more clearly.
