ASMR Autonomous Sensory Meridian ResponseI have had the page “ASMR Resources” on my website for a while, but it only includes English language resources.

So I decided to also create, “ASMR Resources (non-English)” for all other languages.

This new page should be helpful to someone looking to learn about ASMR who is not fluent in, comfortable with, or able to read English.

Visitors to the page will find links to non-English websites, articles, audio files, and videos about ASMR in 15 different languages.  I will continue to add more languages and resources.

Student journalist writes an insider profile of the journey and perspectives of the ASMR artist, theASMRnerd.

ASMR Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response UniversityWill Koziey-Kronas is an undergraduate student majoring in Professional Writing at the University of Toronto in Canada.

For his course, Introduction to Journalistic Investigations, he was assigned to write a profile piece.

He chose to profile ASMR through the experiences of an ASMR artist.  Will explains why,

“People who aren’t familiar with ASMR are usually fascinated by it when their introduced for the first time.  I figured a piece about an ASMR creator, written as an introduction to ASMR, would be very compelling.”

Dr. Diego Garro presents ASMR paper at London conference

ASMR Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response UniversityDr. Diego Garro is a Senior Lecturer at Keele University in the United Kingdom. He has a BSc in Electronic Engineering, an MSc in Digital Music Technology, an MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and a PhD in Composition.

In 2015, I interviewed Dr. Garro about his translated summary of Alejandro Navarro Expósito’s Spanish-language dissertation, “Neuropsychological and neurophysiological characterization of ASMR”.

Dr. Garro has continued his interest in ASMR by writing a paper titled, “ASMR – from internet subculture to audiovisual therapy” and presenting it at the 2017 Electronic Visualization and the Arts conference in London.

In my interview with Dr. Garro he shares how he became interested in studying ASMR, the goals of his paper, reactions to his conference presentation, and tips for others doing ASMR presentations.

Libby Copeland visits Whisperlodge for a live ASMR experience

ASMR Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response UniversityLibby Copeland lives in Westchester, NY, USA and has a BA degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA.

She has been a staff reporter, editor, and/or writer for The Washington Post, Slate, New York Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and Glamour, as well as, made appearances on MSNBC, CNN, and NPR.

Libby also has a strong interest in ASMR.

She recently traveled to Brooklyn, NY to experience one of the first live, in-person, professional ASMR services called Whisperlodge, and then wrote about it for New York Magazine.

He currently works in the retail industry and launched his new website, ASMRbar.com in January 2016.
