Buzzfeed launches softly-spoken ASMR News videos

ASMR Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response UniversityBuzzfeed has started posting a series of tingly videos on their Facebook Live page.

The videos are called, ‘ASMR News Now’.

The videos are about 20 minutes in length and cover some U.S. and global mainstream news in somewhat of a traditional news style.

With some important differences of course.

The first major difference is that the voice is whispered or softly-spoken, relaxing, and low-key.

The second major difference is that the news images are paper print-outs which are placed gently in front of the camera by hand.

Similar to typical news reports, the topics are varied and include politics, legal issues, drugs, technology, and health.

I found the voice pleasant and relaxing, and these videos could be a helpful way to take in some news while relaxing or falling asleep at night.
