  1. When I get triggered to experience ASMR, it starts very sudden. It’s a tingling sensation, that comes from the back of my head, spreads all over my head and sometimes travels down into my upper arms and/or my upper back. It feels warm and very pleasant, and though the feeling itself is mostly on my head, it has effects on my whole body. I feel very relaxed, not tired or sleepy, but almost like in trance. The duration can be very different depending on the trigger, but it can last a few minutes. When I move or speak or concentrate on something different it often vanishes, so I have to keep still. The strength of the experience also variates from a very strong feeling (and the above mentioned trance-like state) to just a few nice relaxing seconds.

  2. Mine begins with tingling sensation on my head than spreads to my ears..its just really hard to explain but its the most amazing feeling! I remember in my childhood when someone touched or played with my hair id feel it, and now when certain people speak or say certain stuff that make me happy id feel it too. It would also occur while watching someone get a massage at a spa and at some point I would watch vids on uTube of people being massaged before I go to bed & id fall to sleep..I’m glad Im not the only one lol 😁

  3. Since I was a kid ii would have my brother make eating sounds as i erased a painted screen on a Commodore 64 drawing program. I got strong asmr from it. My favorites now are kluna tik and I get super sleepy to where I can’t fight it and strong chills all through my body. I use it to control pain.

  4. I would describe ASMR as a light, peaceful euphoria. There is a warmth and a lightness that starts in my chest and spreads out, sometimes accompanied by tingles on the surface of my skin. The stronger the response, the further it spreads and the more I tingle. The physical sensation is ends almost immediately with the stimulus, but the euphoria and peaceful calm can last for several minutes afterwards. ASMR can also really relax me for hours.

  5. With me, it’s the videos that depict someone who appears to be genuinely into whatever they are doing, speaking softly yet crisply in a lower and slower tone and running their hands across objects and surfaces and almost accidentally creating rustles and crinkles.
The sensation for me (since childhood) is more of a deep radiating warmth from within my solar plexus that extends upwards and outwards and is extremely soothing and can send me to sleep rather quickly.
No tingles down spine etc, but just a different response that has been with me since childhood. Someone touching me to adjust a collar or talking in certain tones could make it happen and sometimes I feared it was a weird form of epilepsy or I was just weird. How relieved I was when I discovered others shared my secret experiences and how happy to have a smorgasboard awaiting me on You Tube!
