Polls about ASMR

Scroll down to take some polls related to your thoughts and experiences about ASMR.

After you make your selection and click “Vote”, you will see all the data from prior visitors.

If you have already voted and just want to see the data then click “View Results.”  The data from the polls are specific to the visitors to this website and may not represent the general population or other specific populations.

Note about the poll above when viewing results: because it is “Select All That Apply” the total votes does not equal the total voters because each voter could vote more than once.  To get an estimate of the number of voters, look at the total votes on other polls which were not “Select All That Apply.” because those total votes = total voters.

  1. My ASMR’s are triggered mostly by music, particularly men singing softly or someone speaking lose to my ear. I’ve never experienced it from visual stimuli, I didn’t actually know that was possible until recently.

  2. Apparently I have ASMR Type A. I can produce goose bumps whenever I want without an external trigger. I just found this website which seems informative, but is there a forum where I can discuss this with others?

  3. All I do everyday is watch ASMR as it gives me pleasing tingles I cannot get enough of. I love the youtube channel ASMR Darling.

  4. Since I was introduced to the concept of ASMR through one of Marias videos I’m starting to feel ASMR even in the normal everyday life, it’s like something was awoken in my head and now I get this sensation from things that didn’t affect me before.

      • No, but I have tried drinking during it and it doesn’t help. I see it more like meditation. Clears my mind, calms me, and disengages me from the world. I’m 57 and I always thought I was just weird because no one felt like I did. This has given a name and a community to my extra sense.

      • I tried it to fall asleep on a comedown from LSD once to help me fall asleep. It didn’t really do much. I feel like ASMR is a euphoric “drug” and so is LSD in a way so ASMR doesn’t really make you feel any different lol

      • Once I smoked marijuana after not having done it in a while. I was triggered so heavily by my brother brushing and petting his roommate’s cat that I could almost feel what the cat was feeling. It was so relaxing!
