  1. For me, it is a form of tingly euphoric waves, roller coaster like. Some are felt strongly throughout my upper body, others make me feel high or trance-like. I’ve felt it all my life, whenever hands/fingers are waved in close proximity to my face and via ear whispering. Now ASMR videos on youtube trigger my ASMR almost instantly, I think I am officially addicted. It helps with so many non-physical ailments.

  2. For me, I have never personally experienced the tingly sensation (though I keep hoping I just haven’t found the right trigger), but instead, ASMR for me feels like a deep relaxation, almost like being sedated, where I go into this trance like state (that’s the best way I can describe it). It’s like the feelings when you’re falling asleep and you’re partway in between sleep and awake and you’re deeply relaxed and kind of spaced out, except that in the case of ASMR, for me, I’m totally conscious and lucid. The only thing is, that when I’m in that state, things feel and seem slower, or maybe I just am because I’m so tranced-out, lol.

  3. I experience ASMR only on my left side, not my right. I feel a tingle going down my head to my lowerback and it just feels good. Not like a sexual good, but just pleasant enough. I have anxiety and stress, so when i listen to ASMrtists on YouTube, it helps me to sleep. Especially Gentlewhispering and frivolousfox

  4. In addition to addictive pleasure, almost like a braingasm, I feel ASMR is a hypnotic for me personally. I don’t want the feeling to stop. I feel a gradual buildup (much like with sex, but not sexual), and then sometimes a pleasure release, which makes the sensation so addiction. But, with this release, it does not stop. It builds up again.
