  1. I like when someone is talking in a regular voice and then all of a sudden whispers something unexpectedly. That will trigger me for a few seconds. I also like the role play videos where the person is asking questions and then typing my “responses” into a computer. I like ear to ear, “ear cupping”, and the clicking sounds someone’s mouth makes when they talk softly (but it must be unintentional).

  2. Mouth sounds, accents, brushing, soft voices but not whisper (in real life I do get asmr from whispers). Not fan at all of tapping and scratching.

  3. I am mostly triggered by sounds/voices. Visual triggers don’t really affect me, so I can listen to ASMR without watching a video. Voices are the biggest trigger for me, both soft-spoken and whispers. Specifically slow, calm, clear speaking. I prefer ASMR videos with close, personal attention role plays like during an eye exam, doctor’s appointment, therapy appointment, makeover, or a sales representative. I also like an ASMR artist just talking in general from ear to ear. My immediate surroundings do not make a difference as long as it is quiet and I can focus on the voice/sounds in the video. I prefer intentional ASMR videos because they produce more triggers, because the ASMR video artist is deliberately trying to cause triggers. Tony Bomboni is my favorite ASMR artist because his voice is low and calm, and he speaks slowly and clearly. It is a very comforting voice. He also does great videos speaking ear to ear, and has a great variety of videos like make-up consultant, skin care consultant, how-to videos, tarot cards, giving advice, doctor exams, and sales representative. For me, ASMR video triggers are similar to real- life triggers.

  4. Are you triggered by voices? sounds? sights? All 3

Which of the above trigger types is the strongest for you? Voice. Tony Bomboni’s whispers trigger me the most.

Can you experience ASMR by listening to a video with the screen off? Yes.

What specific actions, sounds, scenarios, or role-plays in a video stimulate your ASMR the strongest? Anything that is kind of out of the ordinary, very methodical. Camera brushing is a HUGE trigger. Anything with personal attention. Prancersize videos trigger me big time as well. It’s so out of the ordinary… I have no idea why it triggers me. lol

Do your immediate surroundings make a difference to your ability to experience ASMR from a video? I need no one else around or no sound. If I have my earbuds it’s okay if someone else is in the room, but I need to be chilled out.

Do you prefer intentional ASMR videos or unintentional ASMR videos? Intentional.

Who are your favorite ASMR artists and why do you like them better than other artists? Tony Bomboni is my absolute favorite. He is approachable, friendly, unthreatening. I think this is why I like him most. He is just an amazingly creative person and comes across completely genuine and like he really cares about his viewers. WhispersRed – love her friendliness, her soothing voice and especially her Barbara character voice. GentleWhispering – Maria is just amazing. She is sweet, seems like a best friend, her accent is a big trigger. And Olivia’s Kissper! Her voice is amazing and she comes up with really interesting videos.

For you, is the ASMR stimulated by a video similar or different from the ASMR stimulated by a real world situation? Videos and real world are very different for me.
