I’ve stumbled across a couple of ASMR poems recently.
I like how the auditory and visual experience of ASMR has been breathed into a literary body by both of these authors.
Can you spy the subtle nod to Bob Ross in one of them?
The first poem is from “The Writing Life” blog and is titled, “Sleepy trance.”
SLEEPY TRANCE
whisper to me please
I want to feel the chill,
the sweet meditative breeze
sleepy hypnotic trance
tingling vibrations as I gaze,
the mind’s slow dance
quiet and perfect peace
happy trees come to life
please, never cease

The second poem is from the “Thoughts from the spare room” blog and is titled, “Sleep.”
SLEEP
Sleep my darling,
For it’s your only escape,
Dream my darling,
For it’s not to late.
Soft whispers welcome you in,
Lulling you into a trance,
To a land where anything is possible,
Where choices exceed chance.
Calm yourself to find peace,
Let tranquility come forth,
Relax and indulge yourself,
And find your true north.
